So, I totally had a minor "I'm an adult and I get to decide what that means!" moment tonight. Realized I needed milk for breakfast in the morning and so went for it after dinner. Got in my car and as I was pulling out of the parking lot I went "... screw it" and did not go to nearby grocery (literally two blocks from apartment). Instead I drove 30 minutes to farthest grocery store possible, just so I could go get a milkshake from BEST ICE CREAM STORE IN TOWN that happens to be across the street.

I have my priorities, dammit.

I went to Ota from Tokyo a couple weeks back for one evening just to go to Kenji's, so I can relate. :P

Dude, I would go to Ota from IOWA just to go to Kenji's, if I had the money... I didn't know you were going to JP this summer. How's things? How's Kenji?

Ota has a lot of minor earthquake damage, but nothing super serious. Also a brand new (and pretty cool) train station, which was kind of interesting. That entire intersection got totally redone so it's no longer the total disaster it used to be. Outside of that, Kenji seems to be doing well - drank girly drinks that you would approve of. ;)

Anyway, was in Japan for about a month - back in the U.S. now and already missing it AGAIN. :P Spent about a week or so in Ota, a couple days in Sowa, a bit of time in Kyoto, but mostly Ichikawa with Jenny. The exchange rate is baaaaaaaaad. I spent WAY too much money. >_
