safe and sound
Dec. 6th, 2003 11:44 pmAh, cocoa... yum.
So, loads and loads of snow made trip into city very interesting. Also fun, cause I like snow and am very good at falling on it and not being hurt overmuch. Years of practice have taught me how to regain my balance, how to tell when that's not possible, and how to just stop fighting it and fall when that's the case. Cause, I may be a klutz, but I'm a clever klutz which is why I don't fall too much. Probably haven't even gotten a bruise this time, which is good.
I got into the city and had fun and got back safe and sound. See, I do go and do interesting things in the city, just never when any of my school friends who live there are there. Don't ask me why this is, I don't know. Maybe you all just don't invite me at good times or something.
Got back and discovered that not only is there loads and loads of snow (what was slush in the city is just pretty white stuff here) there was also no retreat which meant no food. But have eaten instant food (must restock collection of cup noodle for upcoming finals) and cocoa (I continue to maintain that cocoa is made with water and hot chocolate is made with milk) and am a reasonable facsimilie of full. Soon shall endevour to become a reasonable facsimilie of asleep.
Think I shall also try to spend most of tomorrow watching Boondock Saints and Book of Life and taking notes, as otherwise haven't really got work I can do. Besides, would be very good to have a coherent sort of plan to be able to talk about during class on Tuesday.
If I can get an outline type thing done by the end of Monday I can take that to class to talk about on Tuesday. I can spend all of Tuesday night and Wednesday studying for Japanese final (Thursday), write my paper over the weekend and turn it in, then spend some of next week studying for Religion final (the 17th.)
In there I must also:
-finish christmas shopping (also wrap). Chachi, if you're reading this, what the hell do you want for Christmas?
-deliver painted part three of Physics independant study project to advisor. (Hopefully, also go to K.B. Toys or other place and aquire windup toy for use in part two.)
-go into work at least some and find out if she has anythign useful I can do.
-pack
-spend some time with local friends who I'm not going to see for a month. This could include all sorts of things, such as movies, diner, whatever. Particularly, my last final being on Wednesday, I would not be adverse (read: really really want to) to going to the opening night showing of RotK.
-find a way to airport. (Just because a train comes into a train station doesn't mean a plane comes into a plane station Amy. Don't murder the English language all the time.) Preferably one that doesn't involve paying strangers.
marcmagus, what are you doing Thursday afternoon next week?
-eat semi-real foods.
-sleep. A lot.
-Also, read. Just for the hell of it.
-Decide what you're doing next term.
-Pray to gods about getting into JET.
Yeah, that's enough.
