The Office Monkey sits alone in the Land of C.D.O., watching over the library, poking at the computers, and quietly ruling all she surveys. That's right, folks, at this time only our intrepid heroine and the timid Boss #4 remain as officials in the Land, although Office Monkey has her fearless sidekick and cute mascot Bootes the Post Owl with her at all times.
Coming into the Land of C.D.O. yesterday Office Monkey was confronted with the fact that half of her six bosses were on holiday and that she, valient worker that she is, would be expected to sit in Boss #6 lovely ergonomic chair and guard the telephone with her life. Of course, given that the phone rings an average of four times a day Office Monkey lept at the chance to sit around and do nothing all day. Now, well into her second day of playing Receptionist Office Monkye, the monkey is tired and only her desire to be vaguely useful keeps her awake. That and the new task given her by Boss #5.
Office Monkey must now hand check the physical inventory of the library against the database she and Bosses #5 and #6 made up at the beginning of the summer. Our little monkey wanders the stacks making small marks on the list that has been printed out and generally feeling that her job is meaningless. Poor monkey.
Luckily she has dear little Bootes to talk to when no one is around to hear her. Together the two of them forment rebellion and plan for the day when Office Monkey will cast off her shackles and enslave her burgeouis, capatalistic pig bosses.
What's that Bootes? You say I shouldn't talk about the evil plan? I'm sorry Bootes! Please don't hurt me!
