to [livejournal.com profile] captainecchi for giving me something to do at work... *g*

My Pyramid Meme questions...

Hmm... Well, if you want specifically strange HP things (as opposed to the odd things that pop up in ever fandom like the horror of MPreg...) I'd have to go with Squid-fic. It's like Dobby/Dumbledore, but actually worse. For instance... Ron/The Giant Squid... There's also The Giant Squid/Hoggwarts, which just confuses me.

Actually, this one isn't the most boring I've ever done, thank gods... I spent all of a month working for the salad bar of the grocery store back home which meant hours and hours and hours alone in a fridgerated room cutting veggetables and spooning pudding out of a bucked. I had nightmares about cutting cauliflower and was looking for a new job by the end of my first week.
The most interesting was probably... well, the candy shop was the most fun, and I had the most non-boring free time at the Help Desk. But I guess maybe working for the archive I learned the most strange and interesting facts (to make up for the hours I spent with the copy machine, I think.)

Well, I don't really know what it's cracked up to be, but after having been gone all spring and not going back until October I'm defintely starting to miss it. It is very very flat, but that means you can see the horizon and get some really gorgeous sunsets (also sunrises...). It's sparsly populated, but that means that if you want you can go driving for hours and not see any other cars, or people, and very few houses, plus there's so much less light bleed that the stars at night are beautiful. It's not all that liberal, outside of a few collected city-like things (including my home) but the people are friendly, if a little distant.
I might go back. Sort of depends on the options for law school. As a resident I'd get in-state tuition at the UofI law school (one of the top 20 in the country) plus prefered admissions. But at the same time I'd rather go somewhere like Harvard, I think. The answer is, I don't know yet.

Worse how...? Anime fandoms, in my experience, has more frightening fangirls with their horrible fangirl japanese and their obsessive slashing, whereas sf fandoms (and comic fandoms) seem to be over run by fanboys and their desire to blow things up and have sex with hot chicks (gross generalizations on both parts, I know. You did ask about the worst...) They come together in fantasy fandom, with possibly a little more emphasis on the fangirlish aspects. Wheras TV/Movie fandoms seem to be yet another mix, this time with the emphasis on fanboyishness (and slash. Lots of slash...)
As for where I prefer to hang out... um... *shrug* I go where the writing is good and the people are friendly. The only reason I stopped on HP, I think, is because I met some wonderful people.

Well, what we know...
-a "big fan" of Harry's dies.
-Ron becomes the new Keeper now that Wood's graduated
-It's even longer than ever...

My guess is that the 'fan' is Colin Creevy, although there's a strong camp for the Killing of Hagrid. I'm also putting my money on one of the female chasers (probably Alicia Spinnet) for captain of the Quidditch team.
The new DaDA teacher will be either Mundungus Fletcher or Arabella Figg, I think, both of whom are mentioned at the end of GoF. Arabella Figg is bound to turn out to be the Mrs. Figg with all the cats and the house which smells of cabbage who watches Harry whenever the Dursleys want a day off.
Draco will fail to be reformed, which will contine to distress the fangirls.
Harry may or may not get over Cho, but Ginny will not get over Harry and Ron and Hermione will continue to bicker their romantic tensions...
I don't think I can make any predictions about the actual plot of the book, although it will clearly involve Voldemort gaining power in prep for the war. My bet is that the Life Debt that Pettigrew owes Harry will not come into play in this book, although I could be wrong.

An excellent distraction my dear. Many thanks again!

Now aren't you supposed to invite others to be interviewed by you?

(I've been waiting for someone I think knows enough about me to ask interesting questions, but not so much as the questions not be of interest to most populations, so I can request an interview. You can consider this my request. ::grin::)

*g* yeah, that is exactly what I'm supposed to do. (Sorry this took so long. I had to go stuff envelopes in the middle of it.

1) So we all know the idea of just up and moving pops up in your journal every couple weeks. Where would you go? Favorite theoretical destination and most probabl...

2) Angst shows up in all our lives with alarming regularity. What's your favorite anti-angst solution/method?

3) What is your response to someone saying "Wow, you're such a geek/freak/weirdo/strange person?"

4) Some friends of mine have recently been arguing over LARP vs. Table top. I'm staying out of it but what side of it would you come down on and why?

5) Have you ever come up with an answer to the 'what do you want to be when you grow up?' question, and if so, what is do you want to be when you grow up?

Here are Five Questions from me...

1. You've finally arrived at Hogwarts, and you make your way up to the Sorting Hat. For some unknown reason, the thing blurts out "RavenClaw"! What do you do?

2. Besides Vassar, where did you apply for school? Did you think you were going to get into Vassar? Why did you choose it?

3. What's the most memorable experience from your time at "Making of Tequila Killer"?

4. When do you think being a "Tactbot" has been a detriment, rather than a benefit?

5. I know you're a big fan of young adult literature. Besides HP, what other young adult series would you recommend to an adult?
